✺ Frequently asked questions ✺
-
Yes! There are no ads and no subscription. There’s an optional tip in the app if you want to say thanks, but it doesn’t unlock anything.
-
No. The headline is written by Apple’s AI model on your own iPhone or iPad. There are no servers and no accounts, and I don’t collect your data.
-
You choose the sites in Safari’s settings, and it works on most news sites. If you run into issue, contact us at honestish@loomlabs.au

Mostly, but it’s an AI, so it can get things wrong. That’s the “-ish”. Check the article when it matters.
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 October 2026
We take your privacy seriously. The short version: Honest-ish doesn’t collect your data.
What data Honest-ish stores
Honest-ish has no accounts and no servers. Two small things are saved on your device and nowhere else:
Rewritten headlines. So tapping again is instant, the extension keeps recent rewrites for up to 7 days (up to 300 articles). Deleting the app deletes them.
A thank-you flag. If you leave a tip, the app remembers that, so it can change the button label.
How headlines are written
When you tap the mark after a headline, the extension reads the article that headline links to, using your own Safari session. It then gives the text to Apple’s on-device language model, which runs on your iPhone or iPad, to write a plain headline. The article text is not sent to us or to any AI provider. Always check the article when it matters, as AI can make mistakes.
Website access
The extension can only run on websites you allow in Safari’s settings. You can change or remove access at any time.
Analytics
We don’t use analytics or tracking of any kind.
